The best mobile phone on the market in 2022: high-quality appearance + top performance combined, really fragrant

While the phones at the top of the list do the best, they're also the most expensive. So you have to be mentally prepared.

1. iPhone 13 Pro Max: The best Apple phone

Apple is once again leading the mobile world with its top-of-the-line iPhone 13, the iPhone 13 Pro Max. Based on the previous-generation Pro Max, this model features an improved camera, a larger battery, and the long-awaited 120Hz ProMotion refresh rate.

Apple still equips it with a powerful chipset and the latest version of iOS, so you can fully enjoy all the apps in the App Store.

I'm a little annoyed that one of the phone's signature new features -- ProRes high-quality video -- only works if you buy the iPhone 13 Pro Max with 256GB or more of storage.

The only other issue to mention is charging, since again Apple doesn't include a charger in the box, and the phone charges at a disappointingly slow 20W wired and 15W wireless on MagSafe.

2. Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra: The best Samsung phone

Samsung's top flagship phones are as good as you'll get when it comes to phone hardware. Whether it's the variable 120Hz QHD OLED display, 108MP main camera, dual telephoto cameras or stylus support, the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra is the measure of how powerful and versatile a flagship phone is.

Unfortunately, all of this tech means this is a big phone that won't be suitable for all users. Like Apple, Samsung made the unpopular decision to remove the bundled charger from the box with the Samsung Galaxy S21 series, which makes full-speed charging more difficult.

3. iPhone 13 Pro: A cheaper but still great iPhone

Due to the size difference in display and battery capacity, the iPhone 13 Pro does not reach the same height as the iPhone 13 Pro Max. Don't be fooled, though, this iPhone still leaves most of its Android rivals behind, thanks to a combination of power and ease of use that Apple has worked so hard to perfect.

The 6.1-inch iPhone 13 Pro still offers a great display, great cameras, and the same A15 Bionic chipset that's inside the iPhone 13 Pro Max. This latter feature helps the iPhone 13 Pro beat any Android phone in benchmarks or real-world tests.

Note though that there is no charging head in the box, as you may need a new one. Also, Apple's new ProRes video mode only works if you buy an iPhone 13 Pro with 256GB or more of storage, which seems unfair to those who don't need the extra space.

4. Mi 12 Pro: Xiaomi's best phone

The Mi 12 Pro offers specs that are in line with more expensive Android flagships, making it one of the best flagship phones out there, with a 6.73-inch QHD+ (1,440 x 3,200 pixels) LTPO AMOLED display with 1,500 nits peak brightness and dynamic The refresh rate is 120Hz. There's also 480Hz touch sampling and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus.

Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip, the phone also powers the phone with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. As for the cameras, the smartphone features a 50 MP Sony IMX707 main sensor with OIS, a 50 MP portrait sensor, and a 50 MP ultra-wide sensor. There is a 32 MP pixel sensor on the front.

The phone has a large 4,600mAh battery that now supports 120W fast wired charging and 50W wireless charging, as well as the ability to charge other devices wirelessly at 10W reverse.

5. OPPO Find X3 Pro: A Fantastic Flagship Alternative

OPPO's current top flagships are quite different from the rest. The OPPO Find X3 Pro display offers the same LTPO technology as the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra, but uses a lower minimum refresh rate to save battery. The phone's display also supports 10-bit color for more vivid video and photo viewing.

OPPO's mobile phone uses a unique unibody design. It uses 65W wired charging, which is a bit slow compared to now, but it is still one of the fastest charging mobile phones on the market.

The camera array on the OPPO Find X3 Pro includes a special microscope camera for incredible close-up photography, and while it's not as versatile as a typical telephoto sensor, it helps set this phone apart.
